Indore couple launch India's first website on missing kids

The website aims to help families in tracing their lost children across India

Saturday, March 18 Bhopal:

A missing child is a parent's worst nightmare. Every year hundreds of children are lost in crowds, in unknown areas or run away from home. Four-year-old Vishal Talreja of Indore has been missing for over one and a half years. He disappeared suddenly while playing outside his house and all efforts to trace him have proved futile. Ms. Manju Talreja, Vishal's mother said, "As usual, he went out to play with the neighbourhood children. I got him back inside twice but he insisted on going out saying he would be back soon. When I went to collect him again, he was not there."

But now for hundreds of families like this who have lost their young ones help is close at hand. An Indore based couple have started India's first website on missing children in an effort to help families in tracing their missing children.

Ms. Anuj Bhargava, the Website Creator said, "The idea is to develop a network of the community all over India. So that every netizen can take part in it, take a print out of the missing child and post it at various public places like bus stops, railway stations and cinema halls."

In it's first week alone missingindiankids.com has attracted a large number of visitors. And the creators of the site feel that once the site gains popularity, it will help many families across the country.
